S1P

The S1P safety class covers safety footwear with reinforced toe caps and nail protection. Safety footwear in this safety class provides responsible protection for the user. Footwear in this safety class is particularly suited to indoor work, or environments where there is no risk of downpours. Certified safety

All safety footwear on this page is approved according to EN ISO 20345, safety class S1P. This safety class meets all the basic requirements you need, such as an ergonomic fit. Furthermore, S1P-certified footwear is known for having nail protection and toe caps, as well as a closed heel. S1P-approved footwear is also shock absorbing, has anti-static properties and is breathable.

In addition, the S1P safety class requires footwear to be made from oil and petrol resistant materials and to have an anti-slip sole. S1P-certified footwear therefore ensures that you can move around freely without having to worry about slippery floors or oil spills.

Optimum comfort

Even though the safety footwear's main goal is to protect your feet, optimum comfort is equally important as you often wear the footwear for several hours at a time. When MASCOT designs safety footwear, it is always with comfort in mind.

S1P safety footwear generally features a textile upper in fabrics such as polyester. This makes the footwear breathable and allows heat and moisture to evaporate, so you avoid getting damp socks and feet. If your feet tend to get too hot, or if you need safety footwear for the warm summer months, we also offer several S1P-certified safety sandals.

Good shock absorption is important for your comfort, especially if you walk a lot in the day. With safety footwear from MASCOT, you can rest assured that comfort has been thought into the design. Most of the footwear has a flexible and light midsole. Small air bubbles in the midsole combined with the soft materials absorb impact from walking and movement, so that the footwear feels comfortable, even after a long working day.

Need for extra support

Many people need extra support in their footwear in the form of an insole. Whether you need high or low arch support, you will find insoles from MASCOT suitable for insertion in all types of footwear.

Usually, the footwear's safety certification becomes void if the original sole is replaced with an insole. However, the majority of MASCOT's safety footwear is co-certified with our own insoles. Laces or BOA® Fit System

Many of MASCOT's footwear designs come with a choice of fastening solutions. All footwear naturally comes with traditional laces. But much of MASCOT's footwear also comes with a BOA® Fit System. If you need to step in and out of your shoes several times a day, it is worth choosing safety footwear with the BOA® Fit System. The system consists of an adjustable dial and lightweight laces. By turning the dial, your laces are instantly and evenly fastened, giving you an optimum fit. The dial makes it easy to adjust the footwear's fit during the day. Simply lift the dial to loosen the laces again and to easily step out of the shoes.
